Business network: you and your supplier, connected in Remotjob

When your supplier or your customer also uses Remotjob, you connect as customer and supplier and documents travel on their own: your approved purchase order reaches the other company as an order, and their invoice comes back to you as a draft supplier invoice. No typing the same thing twice.

Two partners from different companies reviewing a shared catalog and a purchase order travelling between their companies on a laptop

Each company types the same thing on its own

The buyer enters a purchase order and later the supplier’s invoice; the seller enters the order and later its own invoice. Two teams, the same data, and transcription errors along the way. With the business network, the document is created once and reaches the other company already loaded.

From connection to invoice in six steps

A flow between two companies, each inside its own Remotjob and seeing only its own data.

  1. 1

    Publish your profile (optional)

If you want other companies to find you, you turn on your public profile in the directory with your industry, country and what you offer. It starts switched off: without your decision, nobody sees you.

  2. 2

    Connect

One company requests the connection as customer or supplier, from the directory or with an invitation code, and the other accepts. Until it is accepted, nothing is shared.

  3. 3

    Share your catalog

As the supplier, you choose which products each customer sees and at what price: list price, with a discount, or with a special price per product.

  4. 4

    Order from the catalog

As the buyer, you build a draft purchase order in Procurement with the products and prices your supplier shared with you, and approve it as usual.

  5. 5

The order arrives as an order

With “Send through the network”, your approved order appears at the other company as a sales order. Each line is matched against their catalog, and lines that do not match are fixed by hand.

  6. 6

The invoice comes back to you

When the supplier issues its invoice, it reaches your company as a draft supplier invoice. You review it and accept it to leave it payable.

What is included

Directory with an optional profile

Listed companies by industry and country, with a profile each one decides to switch on, and supplier suggestions for what you buy. You can also connect with an invitation code.

Customer ↔ supplier connection

It is requested, accepted or rejected; either party can suspend or end it. When it ends, what was already sent keeps being reflected and the shared catalog is switched off.

Catalog shared per customer

Each customer sees only what the supplier shares with them, at their price. They never see your cost, your stock or products you did not share. If you use price lists, they can also be assigned to the network.

Purchase order that becomes an order

It supports products with color and size variants. If the VAT or the price on the order differs from your catalog, the line notes it so you can review it before confirming the order.

Invoice coming back, with credit notes

The invoice arrives as a draft supplier invoice, and so do credit notes. If the supplier cancels it before you accept it, the draft is cancelled automatically; if you already accepted it, you are notified.

Notices to the other company

Every important event (connection requested, order sent, invoice issued or cancelled) notifies the other company in “My activities” and by email. When you record a payment, the supplier receives a payment notice.

Linked to your other modules

It works across Procurement, the Store and Inventory: the order you approve starts in Procurement, arrives as an order in the supplier’s Store and, if they use Inventory, reserves their delivery. What moves through the network is also knowledge: Company Brain, for management, and People Chat, for the team according to their role, return it as answers, for example which orders arrived or which invoices are waiting for your acceptance.

Process map included

The module comes with its own “Process flow” tab showing the full path: what your team does (connect, share, order, accept) and what the system does (send the order, match lines, reflect the invoice and notify).

Collaboration between companies, each one in control

Connecting does not open up your information: only the documents of a purchase travel between two companies that accepted each other.

  • Nothing is shared without a connection: both companies must accept it, and either can suspend or end it.
  • Each organization sees only its own data; the other company receives only the document sent and the catalog you chose to share.
  • Your directory profile starts switched off and shows only what you publish.
  • Role-based permissions: viewing the network, managing it, creating and sending orders and accepting invoices are separate permissions.
  • A log of every event between the two companies, with a notice to the other party.
  • The invoice that arrives is never posted on its own: a person on your team reviews and accepts it.

What it is and what it is not

  • It is a network between companies that use Remotjob: your supplier or customer must also have it, and both must accept the connection.
  • Payments do not yet travel between companies: the supplier is only notified when you record a payment.
  • The invoice that travels is an internal document, with no tax effect or VAT credit until you register the official tax document in your tax system.
  • Lines are matched by word similarity, without AI; lines that do not match are fixed by hand while the order is not yet confirmed.
  • It is not a separate portal or an exchange of tax documents: it is the order, sales order and internal invoice circuit between the two companies.

Frequently asked questions

Does my supplier have to use Remotjob?

Yes. The business network connects organizations that use Remotjob. You can invite them with an invitation code and, once they accept the connection, you start sharing catalog and documents.

What does the other company see of me?

Only the public profile, if you switched it on, and the catalog you chose to share with that customer, at their price. They never see your cost, your stock, your other customers or your internal data.

Is the invoice that arrives valid for tax purposes?

No. It arrives as a draft supplier invoice and is an internal document, with no tax effect or VAT credit until you register the official tax document issued in your supplier’s tax system.

Are payments made through the network?

Not yet. When you record a payment on a received invoice, the supplier receives a notice, but the payment and its reconciliation are handled by each company on its own.

What happens with lines that do not match the catalog?

The order travels anyway and those lines are marked as unmatched. The supplier picks the right product before confirming the order, and the notice of a different VAT or price is noted on the line.
