Inventory with warehouses, lots and replenishment: know what you have and where

Remotjob tracks your stock by warehouse, location and lot, with what is reserved and what is truly available. You receive, deliver and transfer under control, count physically and see what to reorder before you run out. It connects with the Store and Procurement, and is included in the membership.

A single number per product is not enough to know what you have

When stock lives in a spreadsheet or in one number per product, nobody knows which warehouse holds it, what is already promised to a customer or what expires first. You sell what you do not have, overbuy, and counts never match. Remotjob replaces that with stock calculated by the system, with every movement recorded.

From receiving to reordering, in six steps

One continuous flow, from the moment goods arrive to the moment you decide how much to order.

  1. 1

Activate and set up your warehouses

Create your warehouses and locations as a tree (warehouse, shelf, level). When you activate the module, the stock you already had becomes the opening balance; nothing is lost.

  2. 2

    Receive goods

Record receipts with a barcode reader or your phone’s camera. If you buy through Procurement, what you receive enters stock on its own, with the purchase price as cost.

  3. 3

    Reserve and deliver

Store orders reserve stock and generate their delivery. Validate what was delivered, in full or in part; what is missing stays pending in a new transfer.

  4. 4

    Transfer and scrap

Move goods between locations and warehouses with a reserved transfer, and take units out as scrap with the reason on record.

  5. 5

    Count and adjust

Run physical counts by location or by whole zone. The system compares what you counted with the theoretical figure and applies the difference as an adjustment, with its history.

  6. 6

    Reorder in time

With minimum and maximum rules and the last 90 days of consumption, you see what will run out and when, and create draft purchase orders in one click.

What is included

Hierarchical warehouses and locations

Several warehouses, each with nested locations and its own barcode per location. A warehouse can be linked to your organization’s branch.

Stock with reserved and available

For each product, variant, location and lot you see what is on hand, what is reserved and what you can really promise. Stock reserved for one delivery is never consumed by another.

Transfers with reservation and partial validation

Receipts, deliveries and transfers with their own numbering per warehouse, barcode reading with a reader or your phone’s camera (in compatible browsers), and full or partial validation.

Lots and serial numbers with expiry

Tracking by lot or serial number, with expiry date. You can pick what expires first, and an expired lot is blocked. Every lot or serial number can be traced backward and forward.

Physical counts and scrap

Counts by location or by subtree, with the adjustment applied and numbered. Scrap deducts from stock and records the reason.

Replenishment with stock-out forecast

Minimum, maximum and multiple rules with supplier and lead time. It calculates days of cover and the estimated stock-out date, counting what is coming in purchases and manufacturing orders, and the “Manufacture” route creates draft manufacturing orders instead of buying.

Costing and units of measure

Valuation by average cost, FIFO or standard cost, with every movement valued. Each product has its stock, purchase and sales units, with conversion (box and unit, roll and meter) and packagings with their own barcode.

Connected with the rest of Remotjob

Inventory, Store and Procurement share the same stock; Manufacturing and Point of Sale move it too. And what your team records here becomes knowledge that Company Brain (for management) and People Chat (for the team, by role) return as answers to decide with.

Its own process map

The module ships with its process flow drawn: what the team does (receive, count, validate), what the system does (reserve, value, calculate the forecast) and how it connects with other modules. This module does not use AI for its calculations.

Control over what you have, with no figures edited by hand

Trust in an inventory depends on the figures adding up. That is why stock is calculated by the system whenever a movement is executed, not typed in by hand.

  • Stock, reserved quantities and costs change only when a movement is executed; a completed transfer cannot be edited or deleted.
  • Role-based permissions: the person who only views, the one who operates the warehouse and the one who configures the module are different people.
  • Each organization sees only its own data: warehouses, stock, movements and costs.
  • A movement history with cost and value, plus traceability of every lot or serial number, leaves a trail of everything that comes in and goes out.
  • Unless you allow it, you cannot take out more than what is available: the system rejects it before moving anything.
  • The replenishment forecast is a system calculation over your own sales and consumption, with no AI and no credit usage.

What it is and what it is not

  • It is inventory with warehouses, locations, lots and valuation. It is not yet a multi-step routing system with receiving in several stages or pick, pack and ship.
  • Transfers between warehouses are done in one step. There is no in-transit location with a dispatch document or issuing of delivery notes yet.
  • It does not print barcode labels or schedule automatic cycle counts: your team launches the counts.
  • The stock-out forecast is calculated from your sales and consumption of the last 90 days; it does not factor in seasonality or use AI.
  • Barcode reading with the phone camera depends on the browser; where it is not available, the text field or the reader remains.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to the stock I already have when I activate the module?

On activation, the current stock of each product is loaded as the opening balance in your first warehouse. Until you activate it, nothing changes in your Store or product records.

Does the Store see the available stock from Inventory?

Yes. The Store shows the available quantity, meaning what is on hand minus what is reserved. When an order is confirmed it is reserved and its delivery is generated; when a purchase is received, stock goes up on its own.

Can I manage lots, serial numbers and expiry dates?

Yes. Each product can be tracked by lot or by serial number, with expiry. You can pick what expires first, expired lots are blocked, and you can trace where each lot came from and where it went.

How do I know when and how much to reorder?

You set minimum, maximum and supplier per product. The system compares what you have, what is coming and what is already reserved with your recent consumption, flags the stock-out risk and builds draft purchase orders for you to review.

How is inventory valued?

Choose average cost, FIFO or standard cost. Every receipt and issue is recorded with its unit cost and value, and you can see the total inventory value per warehouse in the summary.
