Subscriptions and recurring billing: charge every period without repeating the work

Remotjob lets you sell services by subscription—rentals, maintenance, licenses, monthly or annual plans—and issues an invoice by itself for every period and customer. You see how much recurring revenue you have and which customers are at risk of leaving, with an AI explanation your team can review.

Billing the same thing every month should not depend on someone’s memory

When renewals live in a spreadsheet, one month an invoice is forgotten, the next it is issued twice and nobody knows how many contracts end soon. Remotjob keeps each contract with its calendar, invoices every period exactly once and notifies your customer, so recurring revenue stops being a manual chore.

From subscription to invoice in six steps

One continuous flow inside Commercial, connected to your invoicing.

  1. 1

    Create your plans

Set price, currency, billing interval (weekly, monthly or yearly), free-trial days, contract length and payment terms.

  2. 2

    Subscribe a customer

Create a customer’s contract with a plan or with its own lines. Remotjob gives it its own number and calculates the dates of every period.

  3. 3

    It invoices itself each period

Remotjob generates one commercial invoice per period, as a draft or already issued, as you choose. Each period is invoiced only once, even if the process runs again.

  4. 4

    Notify the customer by email

The customer gets an email when their invoice is issued and a reminder when their contract is about to end or renew.

  5. 5

    Manage the changes

Pause and resume, schedule a cancellation for the end of the period, renew or change plan. If the plan goes up, the proration is invoiced separately; if it goes down, a credit note is generated.

  6. 6

    Measure and anticipate

See monthly and annual recurring revenue, new and lost subscriptions, and ask the AI to explain why a customer is at risk of leaving.

What is included

Plans with intervals and free trial

Weekly, monthly or yearly plans, with trial days, contract length (or open-ended), automatic renewal and payment terms.

Customer contracts with their own number

Each subscription has its number, customer, plan or own lines, discount and next invoice date, and every change is kept in a log.

One invoice per period, no duplicates

Each period’s invoice is generated automatically and never repeated. If you cancel an invoice, the period is flagged “to re-invoice” so you can invoice it again when you wish.

Pause, scheduled cancellation and renewal

Pause with an automatic resume date, cancellation at the end of the period (which you can revoke), contract renewal and end of contract with advance notice.

Plan change with proration

When moving to a higher plan, the difference prorated over the remaining days is invoiced separately; when moving to a lower one, the matching credit note is generated.

Customer notices by email

An email when the invoice is issued and a reminder of the end or renewal of the contract, in the language you choose. Notices that fail are retried, and one already sent is never repeated.

Recurring revenue and churn risk with AI

Monthly and annual recurring revenue, new and lost subscriptions and average value per customer. The AI explains in a few sentences why a customer is at risk, based on objective signals such as overdue invoices, pauses or plan downgrades. That explanation uses AI credits.

Knowledge to decide

What your team records here becomes knowledge that Company Brain (for management) and People Chat (for the team, according to their role) return as answers, for example which contracts expire soon.

Process map and links to other modules

The module comes with its process map: what your team does, what the system does and what the AI does. It links with Store and with Sales invoicing and collections, so each period’s invoice enters the same payments and customer account flow.

Recurring revenue, under control

A subscription invoices by itself, so control matters. Every contract, change and notice is recorded, and the AI only explains: it never invoices or cancels on its own.

  • Role-based permissions: who views subscriptions and who invoices can be different people.
  • Each organization sees and invoices only its own customers.
  • A log of every new subscription, pause, plan change, invoiced period and notice sent.
  • A period is never invoiced twice, even if the process runs more than once.
  • A person reviews the AI’s explanation before acting on a customer at risk.

What it is and what it is not

  • It is what your organization charges its own customers. It is not the Remotjob membership, which is managed separately.
  • Each period’s invoice is an internal invoice, not an electronic tax document: that document is still issued in your company’s tax system.
  • It does not charge cards automatically today: the payment is recorded in the Store. Customer notices go out by email.
  • The AI explains churn risk from objective signals; it does not cancel or change contracts.

Frequently asked questions

Can I offer a free trial period?

Yes. Each plan can include trial days. When the trial ends, the subscription becomes active and starts invoicing, and that moment counts as a new subscription.

Can the same period be invoiced twice?

No. Each period is recorded in a ledger, and even if the process runs more than once only one invoice is generated. If you cancel one, you can invoice that period again.

What if a customer upgrades or downgrades mid-period?

On an upgrade, the difference prorated over the remaining days is invoiced separately. On a downgrade, a credit note is generated against the period’s invoice for the amount to be credited.

How are my customers notified?

By email: when their invoice is issued and when their contract is about to end or renew. You choose the language and how many days ahead the notice goes out.

How does churn risk work?

Remotjob scores each subscription using objective signals, such as overdue invoices, pauses, plan downgrades or fewer orders. The AI then explains why in a few sentences, and your team decides what to do.
